Born and raised in California, Caitlyn Morgan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine with a BFA in Dance Performance and BA in Education Sciences in 2018. UCI gave her the opportunity to train with Charlotte Griffin, Jonathan Alsberry, and Katarzyna Skarpetowska. Caitlyn danced with the Reach Sisters Contemporary Dance Company and has additionally trained with BODYTRAFFIC, NW Dance Project, and Steps on Broadway. Upon graduation, Caitlyn completed a 450-hour comprehensive Pilates teacher training program with Diane Diefenderfer, a student of Ron Fletcher and Joseph Pilates himself. In 2019, Caitlyn moved to New York City to accept an apprenticeship with Elisa Monte Dance under direction of Tiffany Rea-Fisher. She is thankful and excited to start this new chapter of her life!
Hannah Gross is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she grew up training in a variety of techniques at Nolte Academy of Dance; she continued her training at the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive, Martha Graham Winter Intensive, Cambrians Summer Residency, DanceWorks Summer Residency, and the Open Doors Dance Festival. She furthered her education at the University of Iowa where she performed works by Martha Graham, Dr. Rennie Harris, Autumn Eckman, Jesse Factor, Mindy Myers, Armando Duarte, and many other acclaimed choreographers. During her time at the university she had the honor of performing and stage managing with the university’s touring company Dancers In Company. Hannah graduated from the University of Iowa with a BFA in Dance and BA in Health and Human Physiology. Her professional experience includes performing with New Territory Dance Company, the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, and the Working Group Theater. Hannah has had the privilege of performing at Alvin Ailey’s Citigroup Theater in the American Dance Guild Festival and Martha Graham’s Helios at the Joyce Theatre. Most recently Hannah performed in the Classical Theatre of Harlem’s production of The Bacchae. She is excited to be returning as a second-year apprentice with Elisa Monte Dance.
Mikayla Klein is from Saint Paul, Minnesota. She began her 12 year studio career at age 4, training in a variety of styles at Northland School of Dance under the direction of Teresa Rolf and Corrie Rolf-Dunn. In high school, she attended the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists where she expanded her training to include Modern and West African dance and studied under Abdo Saygeh, Kaleena Miller, Ricci Milan, and Maggie Bergeron, with performances at The Barbara Baker Center for Dance, O’Shaughnessy Auditorium, and the Rarig Center. Attending summer intensives through the American Ballet Theater, Minnesota Dance Theater, TU Dance, Black Label Movement, The Collective, and New York City Dance Alliance Nationals, expanded her training with Wes Chapman, Lise Houlton, Carl Flink, Joe Lanteri, Suzi Taylor, Joey Dowling, Mia Michaels, and Travis Wall; including performances at The Beacon Theater and the Skirball Center. While attending the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, Mikayla completed Pilates Teacher Training with Paragon Pilates. She taught Pilates and Dance at several studios in Minnesota. While in college, she trained with the TU Dance Pre-Professional Program under the direction of Toni Pierce Sands and Uri Sands. She received scholarships from the New York City Dance Alliance Foundation to the Contemporary Masters Summer Study at Steps On Broadway where she studied under Elisa Monte, Tiffany Rea Fisher, Jennifer Mueller, and Dwight Rhoden and was awarded a full scholarship to Elisa Monte Dance’s 1st Summer Series (EMDSS). Since 2017 Mikayla has been fortunate to be a part of the EMD family, attending EMDSS on full scholarship from 2017-2019. After graduating from St. Thomas Cum Laude with a BS in Exercise Science, Mikayla moved to NYC to begin her apprenticeship with EMD. It is with great excitement and gratitude that she begins her first season with EMD as an apprentice.
Madelyn LaLonde is originally from Houston, Texas where she started dancing at the age of three at Hintze Dance Center. By the age of thirteen, Madelyn transferred studios to train in classical techniques in Ballet and Modern at Allegro West Academy of Dance in Katy, Texas. Under the direction of Catriona Steel and Lynsey Steel, she participated in Royal Academy of Dance syllabi exams. While maintaining her training at Allegro West, Madelyn also attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where she graduated with the Highest of Honors in Dance. Madelyn has competed in both classical and contemporary styles at Youth America Grand Prix at both the regional and national levels. She was even privileged to have her own choreography be nominated for a Choreography Award at YAGP. After graduating HSVPA, she made the move to New York to attend the State University of New York at Purchase College. Madelyn recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase, with a BFA in Dance and a Minor in Arts Management. During her time at SUNY Purchase, she performed works by Merce Cunningham, Dylan Crossman, Tiffany Rea-Fisher, Norbert De La Cruz III, Brian Enos, Taryn Kaschock Russell, among other acclaimed choreographers. Madelyn is honored and excited to see her dreams unfold, by being offered a position in the 2018-2019 season of Elisa Monte Dance, under the direction of Tiffany Rea-Fisher.
